England stars share tips with Asda Kwik Cricketers
By The Asda Kwik Cricket team
England stars, Jimmy Anderson and Matt Prior, turned up to Aston
Manor Cricket Club near Edgbaston, to give a coaching session to
some excited Asda kwik cricketers.
The pair, who have both played influential roles in England's success in the test series against India this summer, spoke to the youngsters, gave them coaching tips and signed autographs,a s they themselves took time out of their busy training schedule ahead of the Edgbason test match.
As if two England stars was not enough, Ravi Bopara unexpectedly came over from Edgbaston to meet the young cricketers, share his batting tips and sign autographs.
The England players made this statement about the day:
'We came here today to support the Asda Kwik Cricket Competition and help to encourage children playing cricket in the UK. It's been a great day and I hope everyone involved enjoyed themselves. The PCA did a great job organising this event, along with support from Aston Manor CC and Asda.'
