The ASDA Kwik Cricket girls’ and year 6 mixed national finals are taking place on July 19th and July 20th at Derby CCC this year, with the best 16 teams from all around the country battling it out to become national champions on each day. The play will commence at 10:00am on both days.

The schools taking part are either winners or runners up of their respective regions to qualify for this event, making them one of the top 16 primary schools in the whole country.  The competition started out with 12,000 schools and 130,000 children so to get to the final in itself is amazing.   Many of them will be coming from miles in order to enjoy one of the biggest days of their lives.

For the girl’s national final on Tuesday, Katherine Brunt (England Women Cricketer) will be present to meet the players and sign autographs. On Wednesday, the mixed teams will get the chance to meet an ex-England player who will be coming down early in the afternoon to motivate youngsters to continue playing cricket.
